C-Weav - Keys 2 The City [New Mixtape]

I first introduced you C-Weav on GUE Radio, Vol. 6 last summer, but now I'm proud share his brand new mixtape, Keys 2 The City, to all my gangstas out here. The Oakland born, NC bred rapper has been working diligently to turn his new home of Charlotte into his stomping grounds while still making his hometown of New Bern proud, and now he's ready for the entire country to get #Key and hear what he has to say.

I was one of the lucky few invited to listen to Keys 2 The City a few weeks ago, and I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that C-Weav's new project is one of the best projects of the year thus far.  Songs like "Apollo 13," "Running The South" and "Follow My Lead" affirm the hunger that C has to make it to the top while "Tonight" and "Chillin Wit Da Girls" are original yet commercially appealing tracks that are perfect for radio and club play. On other tracks, C-Weav gets personal as well,  not shying away from his past and publicly revealing the vulnerability and insecurities that he faces on an occasional basis.

Without further ado, check out C-Weav's Keys 2 The City below, which features production from the homie BanksOnTheBeat, another G.U.E. hometown hero.
