I'm not one to vocally deem myself an avid fan of Odd Future, but my CD collection from the past year begs to differ. After streaming Earl Sweatshirt's new album, I'm positive that my physical copies of Frank Ocean's Channel Orange and Tyler, The Creator's Wolf will soon be joined by Doris.

Now that the "Where's Earl?" phenomenon has ended and the shock value surrounding Odd Future has calmed down a bit, it's time to see if the nineteen-year old emcee is really the prodigy he's been proclaimed to be. The Philly bred emcee just released his 8 track EP December, which features Miloh Smith, Indiana Rome, Brandon Rossi, Jack Freeman, and even an appearance from his Mom who tells the bearded emcee to get his act together.

[Music Video] Tyler, The Creator - "IFHY" + 'Wolf' [Album Stream]

Tyler, The Creator plans to release his album Wolf tomorrow, and both the critics and fans are giving the Odd Future general his props on this one. The Sony distributed album is a proper follow up to his previous efforts Bastard and Goblin as we find Tyler in a more elevated creative space in terms of  production and lyrical delivery.

While Odd Future videos have always been entertaining, Tyler also stepped up his game in the visual department. Watch below as he brings a Mattel themed nightmare to life in the visuals to the Pharrell featured "IFHY."

Miguel - Kaleidoscope Dream: Water Preview [Free EP Stream]

Passion Pit - Gossamer [Full Album Stream]

I'll never forget interviewing Passion Pit in college back in '09. I wasn't originally assigned to sit down with the group, but after the first interviewer pulled out I had only 15 minutes to do a little research on the band. Needless to say, the interview was pretty horrible but the guys were pretty cool with the fact that I knew little about them.

Fast forward to 2012 and Passion Pit is one of my favorite bands. Stream their sophomore album Gossamer below, before it drops on July 24th. Thanks NPR for yet another dope First Listen.
