I often try to figure out what R&B is really missing, and I think I've finally figured it out: a lack of creativity, which hinders the evolution of the genre.
Thanks to Kalenna and her new mixtape free album Chamber Of Diaries, I don't think I ever have to worry about R&B's progression because the Philly bred singer-songwriter has enough creativity to share with the entire world. If "Matte Black Truck" and "Go To Work" are any indication, Chamber Of Diaries will provide an honest, uncensored portrayal of the many emotions we women experience. With hard-knocking production, this is one the fellas are sure to love as well.

Thankfully I was doing some twitter prowling and stumbled across this dope new video from R&B visionary Kalenna. I've been cranking "Go To Work" for a minute now, and I can't wait until her new mixtape Chamber of Diaries drops in February. For now enjoy "Matte Black Truck," the second viral video from the project, which shows the Philly bred singer animating her every lyric!
After years of being in the background as a songwriter, Dirty Money member Kalenna is branching out on her own to launch her solo career. Her new single "Go To Work" is an edgy club track that will force you to get up and move.
The great thing about this song for me is that I was actually in the studio in Atlanta when some of it was being recorded. My prediction: Instant smash. Watch the promo music video for "Go To Work" below, and be on the look out for more Kalenna!
DOPE. The style, the presentation, the cockiness. R&B needs this again. Hit the jump for a full stream of the "Go To Work!"
