Kendrick Lamar Talks To DJ Whoo Kid About Working With Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg

Kendrick Lamar called in to DJ Whoo Kid's Shade 45 for an in depth interview about his career and his aspirations. During their ten minute chat, K Dot revealed that his debut should come out at the end of the summer and announced that he and Dr. Dre have recorded at least 30 tracks.

On Dr. Dre calling in to Power 106 for the premiere of "The Recipe":
“Dre said something on air that I didn’t even know. He said, first time I came in the studio with him, I gave him the same energy that Em and Fif gave him. When somebody say that, it’s only right for me to think or at least assume that influence him to go back even more and go even harder. And that’s dope to be a young cat to get inspired from that and him even getting inspired from me…I’m real appreciate about it.”
On possible collaborations with A$AP Rocky:
“Oh yeah definitely, we got something cooking up, you know. That’s just off the record, that’s just a good dude. We really got to post up and chill out on that Drake tour man. We consider them like family. ASAP/TDE dig that.”
On working with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre:
“You know it’s crazy, I have not yet to lock all the way in with Snoop yet. I want to save that for last … I probably have 30 records with Dre bro...For Detox, I locked in with Snoop and Dre, and that experience was crazy.”
On desire to work with R&B singers:
“Yeah, definitely, Erykah Badu. For sure. All day!”

2012 XXL Freshman Mixtape (Hosted By DJ Whoo Kid, Diddy & T.I.)

XXL continues to give its Freshman 2012 some shine with its official mixtape hosted by DJ Whoo Kid.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sensing a little favoritism here. Danny Brown only gets songs he's featured on and some artists only get one song. Meanwhile, French Montana is all over this thing.

Mac Miller - Death Of The Emcee

Here's some unexpected Mac Miller that Mr. Peter Parker and DJ Whoo Kid chose as the lead single from their upcoming tape #FRATRAP.  Check out "Death Of An Emcee," a track that allows Mac Miller to address all of the naysayers who don't think he's a true emcee.  I'm impressed by this one.

Diddy Addresses The "Dark Cloud" Hanging Over Bad Boy & Talks Rick Ross - Biggie Comparisons [VIDEO]

Take that. Take that.
Diddy's probably one of the most successful executives that music has ever seen.  With success comes reputation, however, and Diddy is finally addressing the so-called Bad Boy curse.  Listen below as he talks with DJ Whoo Kid on his radio show and addresses the "dark cloud" that seems to hang over his label.

“You know over the last couple of years there's been a strong propaganda movement, umm, that has been brewing, like, in the negative sense, against Bad Boy. Against what it is to sign to the Bad Boy label. Is it a detriment to your career?”
