Joell Ortiz & B.o.B (And Now Fred The Godson): The First To Respond To Kendrick Lamar's Game Shaking "Control" Verse

Unless you've been on a social media or Internet fast, you've been unable to escape the Hip Hop world's reaction to Kendrick Lamar's verse on the Big Sean record "Control."

If you need a reminder, peep a selection of the lyrics courtesy of Rap Genius:
I'm Makaveli's offspring, I'm the king of New York
King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both

I heard the barbershops spittin' great debates all the time
Bout who's the best MC? Kendrick, Jigga and Nas
Eminem, Andre 3000, the rest of y'all
New niggas just new niggas, don't get involved

I'm usually homeboys with the same niggas I'm rhymin' wit
But this is hip hop and them niggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale
Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake
Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you niggas
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas
They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas
What is competition?
While many rappers have taken to Twitter to make a few comments on Kendrick's bold claim of the throne, Joell Ortiz was the first to take his response to the booth. Listen below as Joell helps bring back the sport of battle rap to the forefront, and hit the jump for B.o.B's response to "Control."

Kanye West Responds To Being #7 On MTV's Hottest MC's List

After years of controversy surrounding the choices for MTV's Hottest MCs list, it's no surprise that this year is no different.

With the lineup currently listing Meek Mill as #10, Future as #9, A$AP Rocky as #8, Big Sean at #6, and Drake at #5, people and rappers alike have already taken to Twitter and interviews to air their opinions on the rankings.

None were more vocal than Kanye West, however who uncharacteristically called into Angie Martinez's Hot 97 to speak with DJ Enuff about being listed as #7.

Listen below as Kanye lists of reasons why he should be a top contender, states Lil Wayne is his #1 emcee, calls out Sway for a lack of loyalty, only to hang up the phone on DJ Enuff in typical "drop the mic" fashion:

Hit the jump to catch Weezy and Sway's response to Ye's rant:

Does Kanye have a right to be angry over the list? Hit the comments and tell me what you think.

Angel Haze - "On The Edge" + Azealia Banks - "No Problems" (Diss Records)

Yesterday as I was minding my business sipping my morning tea, I noticed that Azealia Banks and Angel Haze were having quite the Twitter exchange. The flame that started it all?

Subliminal diss to Angel Haze, a fellow upcoming female emcee who relocated to NYC from Detroit? Perhaps; and she took it as such. A few "you ain't got no edges" jokes and claims of sexual rejection later, Angel drops "On The Edge," a diss track she claims she wrote in 20 minutes after the back and forth.

Chris Brown & Game - I Don't Like (Drake Diss)

Yesterday, DJ Orator premiered Chris Brown and Game's freestyle over "I Don't Like," and the bottle throwing incident, which seemed to be a thing of the past, was hashed right back up. Do you think Drake should/will respond to Chris's diss record?
“A fuck ni**a, that’s that shit I don’t like/ They throwin’ bottles, I’m throwin’ models just ’cause I give a bitch long pipe,” raps Breezy. “I be singin’, he be singin’, so it’s on, fight/ But hold up, I ain’t give a ni**a no green light/ This head up, my bread up, one on one, what you scared, bruh?/ Matter fact, take care bruh, you a pu**y ni**a/ My ni**a Tunechi, yeah that ni**a nice/ Shout out to Nicki, man, that ass tight/ Them eyebrows, man, them shits is yikes/ OVO, you overdosed, screamin’ YOLO no, I live twice.”

Pusha T Talks Lil Wayne Diss Track, Summer Jam And Drake & Chris Brown's Fight On Hot 97

Flex just dropped off Pusha T's new single "Lambo," but what's arguably more interesting is his interview. The Hot 97 DJ eases into a question about Lil Wayne's "Ghoulish" diss record, to which Pusha called "horrible," "trash," and "[not] good enough to respond to." Listen below as he also gives his take on Nicki's decision to not perform at Summer Jam and also comments on Drake & Chris Brown's recent altercation.

Consequence and Pooch Hall stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning after their song "Something Light" spread all across the Internet yesterday. And of course, Charlamagne didn't hold anything back when expressing his opinion on Pooch's skills on the mic. Stalley - Live At Blossom [Music Video]

Stalley just had a little bit of a Twitter rant (after the jump) where he bumped heads with Chase N. Ca$he. Thankfully, this stupid Twitter beef served a purpose for me; it reminded me to post his latest music video.

Savage Journey To The American Dream has been a bit overlooked this year, and if you haven't downloaded it, I hope you will after watching the visuals below to "Live At Blossom."

Peter Rosenberg Comes For Rival Morning Show The Breakfast Club [AUDIO]

Will this ever end??

Probably not if bloggers like me keep giving this life, huh? Well, since I posted The Breakfast Club's rant about Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex, it's only fair that I share Peter Rosenberg's words for his rival morning show.

Who's winning this war of words? Hit up the comments and let me know your thoughts!

Angie Martinez Comments On The Nicki Minaj Summer Jam Debacle

Since everyone's weighing in on Nicki Minaj not performing on Summer Jam, why not have Hot 97's most popular DJ share her thoughts? She did just that this afternoon, giving her opinion on last night's conversation between Nicki and Funkmaster Flex.

Ebro, Hot 97's Program Director, Speaks On Nicki Minaj Summer Jam Controversy [VIDEO]

Ebro, the head honcho over at Hot 97, finally broke his silence about the Nicki Minaj drama at Summer Jam. Listen to his interview with Cipha Sounds & Peter Rosenberg (the guy who sparked this entire controversy) to find out how deep this issue actually goes.

Nicki Minaj Calls Into The Breakfast Club To Discuss Summer Jam [AUDIO]

Last night, it was pretty obvious that Nicki Minaj and Hot 97 still had some bad blood after she and Funkmaster Flex tried to hash it out on air. This morning, she had an actual conversation as she called into Power 105's The Breakfast Club to speak her peace.

Listen below as she talks about the support she's received from her peers, explains what was supposed to happen at her show, and reveals how she and Foxy Brown got together.

Got Beef? Nicki Minaj Vs. Funkmaster Flex [AUDIO]

If you weren't just tuning in to Hot 97, Nicki Minaj and Funkmaster Flex had a conversation engaged in verbal warfare over the controversy that's been brewing since last night when Lil Wayne pulled Nicki's headlining Summer Jam performance in response to Peter Rosenberg's "Starships" comment (after the jump).

Nothing was resolved in my opinion, but at least Nicki apologized to her fans who paid money to see her. Check out their full conversation below, and hit the jump to hear the disses that started it all.

Other than that, I'm going to sleep. This gave me a headache.

Lil Wayne ft. Big Sean - My Homies Still

Well this is interesting. I'm pretty certain that Lil Wayne and Big Sean had "My Homies Still" wrapped up before Lil Wayne declared war with Pusha T, but it's still an interesting move for Weezy to choose a G.O.O.D. Music collaboration as his lead single for I Am Not A Human Being 2.

Hip hop beef and politics aside, check out the track below and hit up the comments with your thoughts on the record!

Pusha T - Exodus 23:1 [Music Video]

Well that answers that question about the trailer that popped up last week. Pusha T's new single "Exodus 23:1" may be making its way into hip hop diss track history, but he's hoping it makes its way onto the charts thanks in part to this official music video.

Directed by Samuel Rogers

I can already see a Lil Wayne diss about Pusha riding on that man's bike.

Lil Wayne - Ghoulish (Pusha T Diss)

After hearing Pusha's new track "Exodus," which is perceived to be a Drake diss record, Lil Wayne took to Twitter to say:

Oh.

The two have had bad blood festering since 2006 (more info here), so Lil Wayne felt the need to respond on "Ghoulish." Check it out below, and let me know what you think.

Lil Wayne - Ghoulish Lyrics

I think he could've come WAY harder. But at least he said his name directly.

Is Azealia Banks Too Arrogant For A New Artist? (Jump Off TV Debate) [VIDEO]

There have been so many Azealia Banks posts that I have drafted then deleted because they had nothing to do with her music. The majority of the news that surrounds her has to do with some controversy, most of which she instigates herself on Twitter. Glad to see that I'm not the only one who's  sick of her immaturity, the Jump Off TV crew got together for another debate to discuss if she really has what it takes.

Diggy Explains J. Cole Diss Track [VIDEO]

Over the weekend, Diggy Simmons caused quite the ruckus when his diss track "What You Say To Me?" leaked. On the track, which he wrote over a year ago in response to J. Cole's "Purple Rain," Diggy comes pretty hard at Cole to defend his sister Vanessa's honor.

During an interview with 99.1 KGCI, Diggy finally spoke on the diss track and showed no signs of worry that J. Cole will retaliate lyrically.

Diggy - What You Say To Me? (J. Cole Diss)

Little Simmons didn't take very well to being mentioned in J. Cole's "Grew Up Fast" or to believing that the girl referenced on "Purple Rain" was his sister Vanessa. I don't think J. Cole was really talking bad about him on "Grew Up Fast." This is rap. Names will be referenced.

Anyways, he addresses some of the things about being in the industry that bother him the most including questions about his family in the first verse, but the most attention grabbing lines directed at Cole are in the final verse.
