New Music: N.O.R.E. - Electrolytes (Remix) f/ DMX & Macy Gray

Recently freed DMX has been added to the N.O.R.E. come back single "Electrolytes" with Macy Gray.  I love that they're still putting out music and it still sounds like they're being true to their styles without sounding outdated. Check out the remix below:

TiRon & Ayomari: Behind The Scenes of "A Sucker For Pumps"

TiRon & Ayomari's A Sucker For Pumps dropped two days ago on Sept. 13.  So far, I've copped it and listened to it at least 3 times. I love it. If you need more convincing, check out the electronic press kit which takes you behind the scenes of the making of this great album.

Go get A Sucker For Pumps here.

New Music: Trey Songz - Whoever Else/If I Could

In typical Trey Songz fashion, we get both the boastful Trigga and the softer Trey all on one track.  I won't be blasting the first half of the song because I'm tired of hearing rappers following Weezy's "I walk around the club...F**k errybody" theme without a glimpse of intelligence behind it.  I do, however, appreciate the shift in the track when he sings about it over a melodic instrumental.

J. Cole Addresses Jay-Z & Rihanna Rumors

Right on the cusp of the release of Cole World: The Sideline Story, have come a plethora of rumors alleging surrounding  J. Cole suggesting everything from him having a sex tape with Rihanna to him being dropped from Roc Nation as a result of a tumultuous relationship with Jay-Z.  I never paid the rumors any mind because usually the truth reveals itself.

Watch J. Cole take it all in stride as he addresses the rumors below:

New Music: Gerald Walker - It's All Real

New music from Milwaukee, Taylor Gang affiliated MC Gerald Walker.  "It's All Real" is a smooth track with a Cardo beat that allows Gerald to speak his mind. Reminds me of some old Bone Thugs and I'm feeling it.

His upcoming mixtape The Other Half of Letting Go drops on Sept. 20th, so come back here to download it and support the new school.

MTV Rap Fix Live Celebrates Its 1 Year Anniversary

Yesterday, MTV Rap Fix Live celebrated its 1st year anniversary live on its 4PM show.  I wasn't able to watch it live, but I've been going through all of the clips on MTV this morning.  Has it only been 1 year? It seems like Rap Fix has been one of the most important staples in Hip Hop lately.

Since the show debuted, MTV Rap Fix has filled the void that's been missing in Hip Hop video journalism.  Television is quickly becoming a less influential channel for music, and Rap Fix Live's creators recognized the need for more of a central, online presence. Since the focus on most music networks no longer rests on the actual music, it's great that we have Sway to represent and provide an unbiased, reputable voice.

New Music Video: Frank Ocean - Thinking About You

A little over a week ago, an unofficial music video for Jay-Z & Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild" featuring Frank Ocean made a lot of waves. The creators, known as the High 5 Collective, are back with the OFFICIAL video to Frank Ocean's "Thinking About You."

I'm surprised to see that Frank is doing a video for a song that he wrote for someone else, but it is his property.  I still like Bridget Kelly's version better.
