New Music: Beyoncé ft. J. Cole - Party (Remix)
J. Cole adds a short, but clever verse to Mrs. Sean Carter's hit track as he switches up his flow and spits another verse for the ladies. Hopefully there's still going to be a full G.O.O.D. Music Remix as well!

New Music: Verse Simmonds - Boo Thang (Remix) ft. 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti & Kelly Rowland
Verse Simmonds lets 2 Chainz and Yo Gotti get their slick talk on as they join him and Kelly Rowland for the "Boo Thang" remix. Perfect for radio, and already stuck in my head.

New Music: Nickelus F - Chop Shop & Water
Nickelus F continues with his week of nonstop bars with "Chop Shop & Water." This one is probably my favorite cut yet from him. Faces drops 11.8.11!

Raekwon - Just 4 Laughs Pt. 2 (Freestyle)
Raekwon's just having fun on this short freestyle, but it's still better than some rapper's best verses.

Cocaine 80s - Ghost Lady EP
James Fauntleroy, No I.D., Common and company are so cool that they just drop EPs out of nowhere as the Cocaine 80s. And the music is just exactly like their name--dope. I still play their first EP faithfully, and I've tried to put as many people on that project as possible (GUE Radio, Vol. 1 & Vol. 13)
For a preview of the Ghost Lady EP, listen to "Six" ft. Over which includes vocals from Common and James Fauntleroy.

They even included the The Pursuit EP, in the Ghost Lady EP download, so you get two for the piece of none!
New Music: Ludacris ft. Gucci Mane - Shake N Fries
Ludacris is back, and he's preparing to show us that he hasn't lost a thing with his upcoming mixtape, 1.21 Gigawatts. He let loose the complete version of "Shake N Fries" after an unofficial leak hit the net, so have at it! Ignance at its finest, and I love it.

Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 13: R&B Leaders of the New School
I can't believe there are 13 of these now!
|
What few seem to notice is that the same movement is happening with R&B. There are tons of amazing singers and songwriters that are participating in the progressive evolution of this genre that seems to be expanding just as quickly as rap. I'd like to consider the standouts in R&B our "Leaders of the New School," although many who are just starting to gain major attention have been around in the industry for quite some time.
Check out a Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 13, a showcase of these R&B Leaders of the New School, which includes music from Miguel, Jhené Aiko, Teedra Moses, Frank Ocean, BJ The Chicago Kid, The Weeknd, and more!
