Out of all of the album's noteworthy features, it's hard for me to decide which track I want to hear the most.  The bonus track "6 AM" featuring T-Pain seems the most interesting just because it's some type of mashup between Melanie's hit "4 AM" and T-Pain's "5 O'Clock." MeLo-X x Erykah Badu - New Amerykah 2 Remix EP

Erykah Badu's latest album New Amerykah 2 is an extremely underrated project that I think is way ahead of its time. Thankfully, MeLo-X appreciates the album, and he's remixed four of the most popular tracks from New Amerykah 2 and given the songs new life by adding his special touch.




I've listened to this three times through already. I needs more!

Childish Gambino - Heartbeat [Music Video]

I thought Childish Gambino was waiting until Valentine's Day to release the full video for "Heartbeat," but after premiering a mysterious trailer yesterday he just let the whole cat out of the bag early. I don't want to ruin the video with a synopsis, so I'll just show you my reaction while watching. O_O

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the legendary producer J. Dilla's passing, and Hip Hop lovers everywhere are paying tribute to him in their own way.  Riddles, 1/2 of Penstation, chose to pay homage to Dilla by remixing his verse on Slum Village's "Get Dis Money." Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 16: Meet Glass!

A LOT has changed since I dropped Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 15 in January.  The site has grown tremendously and the most noticeable changes are the brand new logo, layout and mascot.  You've probably already noticed him/her already, but consider GUE Radio, Vol. 16 an introduction to Glass, The Gangsta Emoticon.

Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 16 features much of the new music posted on the site within the past month, and like I always say, this one is my best mix yet.  With a diverse selection of artists ranging from Big K.R.I.T. to Azealia Banks and Meek Mill to M.I.A., I think you'll really enjoy this one.
