The moral of this video is this: Love & Hip Hop ATL Cigarillos is winning. You don't have to watch the show to know that Stevie J's facial expressions and Joseline's inaudible commentary make the show, and it seems Trey Songz took notice. To celebrate yesterday's release of his new album Chapter V, he, Kevin Hart, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne and some beautiful footballers deliver the hilarious visuals to "Hail Mary."
Mariah Carey wasted little time to deliver the visuals to her new Rick Ross and Meek Mill featured single "Triumphant." In this Nick Cannon directed video, Mariah cheers on Milly from Philly as he delivers a 12th round knockout while DJ Khaled and Rozay watch from the crowd. Simple, yet effective.
The song alone is enough to bring powerful imagery to your mind but Lupe Fiasco proves that his job is to empower and challenge hip hop as he narrates the story of "Bitch Bad." I wrote a paper on his track "American Terrorist" back in college, but this record deserves a book. Food & Liquor 2 is set to hit stores September 25th.
I wasn't sure anything could top the visuals to "Big Beast," but it looks like Killer Mike has done it again. He gives you a history lesson in a matter of minutes with a little help from Scar, El-P and his lovely other half in the music video to the R.A.P. standout "Untitled."
Directed by Benjamin Dickinson
By the way, if you haven't copped R.A.P. Music, what the hell are you waiting for???
Trey Songz is on a huge promo tour in support of his new album Chapter V, so of course he had to sit down with The Breakfast Club sooner or later. Never any to hold back questions, the conversation took a turn from his music, to his reaction of Ne-Yo's criticism, to his love life. Sit back and enjoy the many TMI moments of this one.
I've been so annoyed with the Twitter beef magnet Azealia Banks lately that I almost missed her new video for my favorite 1991 track, "Van Vogue." If you care, get the tea on her latest scuffle with the "original Vamp" Jim Jones HERE.
GUE's favorite producer Nubbz received an overwhelmingly positive response when he released his remix of Childish Gambino's "Firefly," and I think he's done it again with this one. This time, Nubbz transforms Freddie Gibbs and MadLib's "Terrorist" and puts a new spin on the Shame EP standout.
Thurz and BJ The Chicago Kid are at it again as they take on THX's production "Another Number." Find this record and "Keep The Faith" on Thurzday's forthcoming project 517 W Queen Tape. Can't wait!
Rickie Jacobs may have taken a few months off, but he hasn't lost any of the fire that he showcased on Live Epic. Check out "Grow" below and hear for yourself.
My The Well Versed family has been grinding hard at Rock The Bells this weekend, and Christian FGY was right there to capture J. Cole as he debuted a new record. Watch below as he premieres "I'm A Fool," a track sampling Cee-Lo and Melanie Fiona's single of the same name. No idea where this will land but who cares? It's new Cole!
