X/COKE (Cheri Coke + Melo-X) - "The Interlude" (Sango Refix)

X/Coke was by far one of the best projects of 2012, and thankfully for us the sounds of Cheri Coke and MeLo-X will have new life as their remix EP is set to drop this month. Listen below as remix magician and producer Sango put his spin on "The Interlude."

BJ The Chicago Kid - "Honey"

Any label was lucky to have the talented BJ The Chicago Kid on their roster, but Motown seems like a perfect fit for my favorite R&B singer who's bound to have an amazing 2013.

Working with veteran producer B!nk, BJ puts his own spin to Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat" on his new single "Honey." Pineapple Now-Laters is in stores now!

Skyzoo - "Grew Up On Kool-Aid"

In my opinion no Skyzoo verse should be free, but thankfully for us the NY emcee doesn't seem to mind dropping off a freestyle now and then. As part of his weekly series Band Practice, Skyzoo takes me back to my smiley-face "ohhh yeah" cup days with "Grew Up On Kool-Aid."

Hit the jump to hear last week's track, "Phone Calls." Skyzoo's amazing album A Dream Deferred is in stores now!

Casey Veggies ft. Rockie Fresh - "Energy"

Casey Veggies and Rockie Fresh have come a long way from their "Duckin N Dodgin" days, and it's glad to see that both of them are sitting pretty at the top. With both emcees celebrating their new releases, they collaborate over the Uncle Dave produced "Energy."

Congrats to Casey for recently inking a deal with Sylvia Rhone's Vested In Culture/Epic Records imprint!

YelaWolf - "Way Out"

It seems like forever since Yelawolf's debut Radioactive dropped, but in case you forgot how dope he is, slap his new track "Way Out" upside your head. His new project Trunk Muzik Returns is set to hit the net on March 14th.

In case you missed it, be sure to go back and listen to Yela's verse on A$AP Rocky's posse cut "1 Train." Some people disagreed, but peep my ranking of the guest verses.

Honors English ft. Q45 - "Started From The Bottom" (Freestyle)

Honors English and fellow Jersey emcee Q45 borrowed Drake's newest single "Started From The Bottom" to create an original song quality freestyle that takes Honors back to his younger days:
In this freestyle I channeled some of my earlier work that represented the mentality I had coming up from the bottom. As a result, the content is more edgy then my usual material. Introducing Clipz, a young hungry MC from Jersey anxious for the spotlight. Joining me is my homie from Jersey, Q45. I think it is important to let my fans know where I came from physically and mentally, so they can understand my growth as an artist. Started from the bottom now we here.......Let me know what you think of the experiment.......

I'd love to hear more Q45. The punchlines were crazy!

Mikky Ekko - "Pull Me Down" (The Internet Remix)

Even if you think you've never heard of Mikky Ekko, chances are you've sung along to "Stay" on Rihanna's latest album Unapologetic. His solo repertoire, however, is more impressive than the RiRi feature and the amount of remixes of his Clams Casino produced "Pull Me Down" is proof of that.

If I had to spotlight one remix in particular--which I am--, the Nashville musician's single sounds best in the hands of Odd Future duo The Internet. Enjoy Syd The Kid and Matt Martian's remix of "Pull Me Down" below, and be sure to check out their original tracks HERE.

Jon Connor - "Tour Life"

For everyone who's classified Jon Connor strictly as a freestyle emcee or a conscious rapper, dig a little deeper to his music or simply check out his latest track "Tour Life."

I'm sure there are tons of things he can't divulge, but a few ratchet tales make their way over a beat sampling "Remind Me" by Röyksopp and I'm not mad at it.
